Official presidential visit to Lebanon

H.E. Mr Nicos Anastasiades, the President of the Republic of Cyprus is currently on an official three-days state visit in Lebanon.

On Monday Mr Anastasiades, his spouse, Mrs Andri Anastasiades and the members of the Cypriot delegation were officially welcomed by the President of Lebanon, Mr Michel Aoun at the Lebanese Presidential Palace in Beirut.

After the official welcome ceremony, the two Presidents held a private meeting which was followed by official talks.

They discussed issues regarding the bilateral relations of Cyprus and Lebanon, cooperation on numerous diverse fields, regional matters, EU-Lebanon relations and about the latest developments on the Cyprus problem.

During his official stay in Lebanon, President Anastasiades will also meet with the Patriarch of Maronites Bechara Butros Rai, the Grand Mufti of Lebanon Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian, the Patriarch of Antioch and All East John, the Patriarch of Armenians Aramand with the House Speaker Mr Nahib Berri and with the Prime Minister of Lebanon Mr Saad Hariri.

On Wednesday, President Anastasiades will address a business forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Cyprus and Lebanon.

The Managing Director of Shanda Consult, Mr Stefan Nolte, will visit Beirut as part of the Cyprus business delegation and will attend on the business forum as well.

Mr Nolte will be available for meetings with prospective business associates and clients on Thursday, the 15th of June 2017.
